Purified terephthalic acid (PTA) and MELT have seen their costs drop for the coming week thanks to Reliance Industries Ltd (RIL), India’s largest participant in the polyester value chain. Monoethylene glycol (MEG) rates, however, remained constant. This comes after the business kept its prices the same for the previous week. In addition, the cost of polyester staple fibre (PSF) has not changed from the previous two weeks.

Market reports state that PTA is now priced at Rs. 81.20 per kg (a drop of Rs. 0.50), MEG is now priced at Rs. 57.10 per kg (no change), and MELT is now priced at Rs. 89.04 per kg (a loss of Rs. This Saturday, the prices for these polyester basic ingredients went into effect. Polyester sales have decreased as a result of the recent drop in crude oil prices. prices of raw materials.

RIL kept the price of PSF at 106 per kg at the start of current fortnight. RIL examines price trends in China and changes in crude oil prices to calculate the costs of its polyester raw ingredients. RIL is a significant player in the Indian market, thus it usually follows its price trend.
