At the three-day Indo East Africa Trade Expo, which is being sponsored by the Rajasthan Export Promotion Council (REPC) and organised by trade association Federation of Rajasthan Trade and Industry (FORTI), about 300 businesspeople, most of them exporters, are showcasing their goods to buyers in Kenya and other East African nations.
Many importers from Kenya and other East African nations are exhibiting interest in the Indian state, according to FORTI president Suresh Agarwal, and some have even inked contracts with the exporters from Rajasthan.
Pharmaceutical and car products have shown particularly strong demand. Agarwal continued, “Exporters from Rajasthan are really thrilled about new chances in the nation that primarily depends on India for imports.
Kenya currently receives exports from Rajasthan worth more than Rs 500 crore. The expo, which began on Wednesday, would enable exporters to meet more buyers there and increase the amount of shipments, according to Agarwal, who said that the potential is quite high.
