Textile Sourcing Meet-23 held to strengthen cross-border partnerships

The 23rd edition of the Sowtex Network presents Textile Sourcing Meet took place in Dhaka at the International Convention City Bashundhara (ICCB). Fostering business, culture, and international collaborations was the main goal of the two-day 2nd edition of that expo.

Mohammad Hatem, Executive President of the BKMEA, and Kazi Iftequer Hossain, President of the Bangladesh Garment Buying House Association (BGBA), both attended the expo’s opening.

The principal guest at the expo was Faruque Hasan, president of the Bangladesh Garment Manufacturers and Exporters Association (BGMEA), who secured senior management participation to hit the 100 billion dollar export objective by 2030.

The 23rd Textile Sourcing Meet provided a fantastic opportunity for Bangladeshi and Indian fabric suppliers. At the 23rd Textile Sourcing Meet, Faid Ad Bangladesh from Bangladesh participated as an exhibitor. Among the Indian companies displaying their goods were Pallavaa Group, Texperts Indian pvt ltd, Raj Textiles, Aditya Exportz, Bindal Exports Limited, Vijay, and others.

These organisations’ technical experts, merchandisers, and procurement specialists were displaying their goods and assessing potential opportunities in one-on-one conversations. In order to increase networking and make the business talk more goal-oriented, this session was split into two halves.

These days, price competitiveness and lead-time are two key factors in determining if a business will be profitable. Chinese vendors should not be as price-competitive as Indian suppliers.

Two-day Textile Sourcing Workshop Meet was a very successful expo. Organizers are hopeful to repeat the expo at regular intervals.
