In a strategic move to spotlight India’s booming sports and fitness textiles sector, Messe Frankfurt Trade Fairs India and Concept N Strategies have partnered to launch the ‘Sporttech Pavilion’ at Techtextil India 2025. This special segment will showcase cutting-edge sportswear fabrics, performance textiles, gear, and sustainable materials, giving a massive boost to India’s capabilities in this fast-growing domain.

India’s sports and fitness textile segment is undergoing rapid transformation driven by lifestyle changes, material innovation, and strong government backing. The launch of the Sporttech Pavilion marks a major step forward for technical textiles aimed at high-performance applications.

The demand for advanced textiles—like moisture-wicking fabrics, compression wear, and eco-friendly materials—is surging. This makes Techtextil India 2025 the ideal launchpad for brands and manufacturers catering to the performance and fitness-driven market. The initiative aligns with India’s mission to boost domestic manufacturing and innovation in technical textiles.

Raj Manek, Executive Director of Messe Frankfurt Asia Holdings Ltd, emphasized that Sporttech Pavilion is a natural extension of Techtextil’s mission to highlight innovation, offering buyers and manufacturers a platform to explore the future of sportswear technology.

Kishan Daga, Founder of Concept N Strategies, noted that India is poised to become a global supplier of high-quality, performance-driven sportswear and gear. The Pavilion will be key to connecting Indian manufacturers with global buyers.

The Indian sportswear market, valued at USD 10.2 million in 2024, is projected to hit USD 16.6 million by 2033. On a global scale, the sportswear industry is expected to reach USD 350.45 billion by 2032, underlining immense potential.

Sporttech Pavilion will welcome exhibitors in areas such as smart textiles, finishing chemicals, sports equipment, compression fabrics, sustainable accessories, and machinery. It will also attract a diverse set of professionals—from product developers and R&D experts to fitness-focused designers and sourcing specialists.

With Messe Frankfurt’s global network, this initiative promises to enhance India’s presence in the international sports textile arena while opening new doors for cross-border innovation, especially alongside the medical textiles segment through MEDITEX, in collaboration with SITRA.
