ITMA 2023 Exhibitor Preview: Sun Chemical To Showcase Digital Textile Inks

Sun Chemical will showcase its complete line of digital textile inks, suited for printing on any textile material, on Stand D302, Hall 5, ITMA (8-14 June, Milan, Italy).

In keeping with the ITMA’s “Transforming the World of Textiles” theme this year, Sun Chemical’s campaign for the event will highlight the company’s dedication to digital textiles, sustainability, and the development of textiles.

Sun Chemical has developed and introduced new inks in the major printing technologies of reactive, sublimation, and pigment printing with the aim of enhancing performance and improving sustainability credentials while also improving productivity. Sensient Imaging Technologies, a leading provider of digital inks, was acquired by Sun Chemical in 2020. Sun Chemical will also display its selection of acid dye inks.

The introduction of Xennia Amethyst Evo RC ink The debut of Xennia Amethyst Evo RC, which will be featured on the stand, is announced by Sun Chemical. This premium ink, which is a development of the popular Xennia Amethyst line, was especially developed to boost productivity and give customers the ability to hit high-volume targets in the fashion and home textile industries without sacrificing quality. The cutting-edge recipe is created to increase colour intensity and efficiency while optimising elements to improve colour balance for sophisticated colour management and sample matching. The ink is categorised as ZDHC Level 3 and has achieved certification from OEKO TEX’s Eco-Passport and GOTS organisations.

Future-Tab Pigment Inks

Sun Chemical is happy to announce the introduction of the Xennia Sapphire line of digital pigment inks for textiles. Initially With improved colour and fastness performance, unmatched print stability, and ease of use, Xennia Sapphire inks represent a step-change in pigment printing and are available for higher viscosity printheads including the Ricoh Gen 5 and Fujifilm Dimatix Starfire. With a no-water process, effective curing, and soft hand fall to lessen the need for finishing chemicals, Xennia Sapphire is in line with Sun Chemical’s sustainability goals.

For the majority of commercially accessible digital textile printers, Xennia Sapphire inks will also be made available for Kyocera printhead technology.

Introducing Sun Chemical’s newest sublimation ink, ElvaJet SR342, will be released in order to compete with higher viscosity printheads made by Ricoh and Dimatix. based on internal distribution ElvaJet SR342’s dye dispersions produce the purest colour shades possible, enabling an expanded colour gamut in addition to the highest printer performance with optimised drying and reduced maintenance needs.
