Vietnam Likely To Introduce Stonger FDI; JETRO Chief Will Be The Representative In Hanoi

The Japan External Trade Organisation (JETRO) will be represented by Hanoi Nakajima Takeo despite of the inflow in Foreign Trade Investment (FDI). Singapore, South Korea, Taiwan and  Japan are keeping a keen eye on the Vietnamese market.

The survey was conducted among 3,100 Japanese businesses. Vietnam is the fourth in terms of export destinations for Japanese firms followed by USA. USA showed a great interest for Japanese businesses in Vietnam. In the JETRO survey it was found out that Asia and Oceania, 2022 has received 603 Japanese enterprises which are operating in Vietnam. This equals to 3/5th of the enterprises which will also expand their investments in Vietnam which is up by 4.7 points from the previous year.

It is also the third highest among the Southeast Asian countries after India (72.5%) and Bangladesh (71.6%). Investment funds and investors from Singapore and Brunei have confirmed their interest in investing in Vietna,. Till now, Red River Delta is the second largest zone for FDI in Vietnam which is 31.4% of the total FDI
