CEPA- Once In A Time A Year Ago

The United Arab Emirates and India began an exciting new chapter in our lengthy and productive relationship one year ago, on February 18, 2022. The signing of the UAE-India Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement, a historic agreement intended to strengthen strategic cooperation between our countries and spur regional growth, took place that Friday evening in New Delhi in the presence of His Highness Sheikh Mohamed Bin Zayed, the then Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces. Also present were His Excellency Shri Narendra Modi, the Prime Minister of India.

It was a significant milestone and the first bilateral trade agreement between India and the MENA area as well as the UAE.
