To bring innovation in dyeing of Sustainable Textiles and Reduce Environmental Impact

An inventive start-up company called Re-Matters Textile Recycling Solutions is encouraging circular value streams in the textile sector. We at Re-Matters are pleased to announce a strategic alliance with COLOURizd, a leader in environmentally friendly textile coloring technology.

Through the combination of Re-Matters’ circular experience and COLOURizd’s state-of-the-art dying technology, this partnership seeks to facilitate the industry’s transformation. We work together to promote more environmentally friendly supply chain procedures.

Re-Matters was founded in 2023 as a response to the growing need for sustainable textile solutions as well as the growing concerns about the environment around the world. Re-Matters provides engineering and consulting services to the textile supply chain, drawing on the more than 40 years of experience of their parent company, Ereks Blue Matters, to help organizations minimize their environmental footprint through customized solutions that prioritize reduction, reuse, recycling, and regeneration.

“We are excited to partner with COLOURizd, whose innovative dyeing technology aligns perfectly with our mission to promote a circular textile economy,” stated Romain Narcy, CEO of Re-Matters. “With the current state of the world, taking action towards sustainability is not just an option, it’s a necessity.”

With the revolutionary QuantumCOLOUR technology from COLOURizd, recycled materials may be colored without bleaching or color removal required. With the use of this technique, yarn qualities including strength, decreased pilling, and hairiness are improved while maintaining the integrity of the fibers. With only one liter of water needed per kilogram of yarn and no effluent produced, the technique is a great option for businesses trying to raise their sustainability reputation.

“Our partnership with Re-Matters is a perfect match, bringing together two forward-thinking companies dedicated to sustainability,” said Jennifer Thompson, CEO of COLOURizd. “By integrating COLOURizd’s technology with Re-Matters’ focus on circular value streams, we can offer textile manufacturers a sustainable solution that reduces environmental impact and enhances the performance and quality of their products.”

Re-Matters and COLOURizd will exhibit at the upcoming Textile Exchange Conference, The Case for Change, which will take place in Pasadena, CA, USA, from October 28 to 31, 2024. Don’t forget to visit both of their booths (Number 22 and 94) in the conference area.

This year’s theme, The Case for Change, will explore how integrating best practices for climate and nature into business operations can build resilience for the future. Both companies will showcase their innovative solutions and discuss their collaborative efforts to promote a more sustainable textile industry.
