On Friday, Piyush Goyal, the Union Minister for Textiles, urged the textile industry to concentrate on scale, quality, speed, and increased volume to grab global markets.
He was speaking at the Technotex 2023: Envisioning Indian Technical Textiles @2047 Keynote Session in Mumbai, which was the 10th iteration of the International Exposition and Conference on Technical Textiles.
In order to meet the demands of major corporations throughout the world, he stated, “it is time we begin looking at the scale and more composite plants, using more contemporary technologies.”The Minister urged the technical textile sector and the textile industry in general to take advantage of the chances provided by the G20 meetings to discover opportunities to do business with friendly nations while speaking about India’s G20 Presidency.
The Minister emphasised the need for more webinars, seminars, and conferences with technical experts from diverse user sectors so that the textile industry could present the various ways in which technology textiles are used.
Goyal also presented a Knowledge Study on the occasion that details international best practises in technical textiles. There was also the release of a set of seven BIS Standards for technical textiles.
