Carhartt Inc. joins the US Cotton Trust Protocol

The U.S. Cotton Trust Protocol has announced that Carhartt, Inc. has joined its sustainable cotton program. Carhartt, which has been creating robust clothing meant to serve and protect all hardworking people for over 135 years, has decided to join the Trust Protocol as part of its commitment to obtain more ethically cultivated cotton.

Valade, Carhartt’s Sustainability Director. “Becoming a member of the Trust Protocol enables us to continue our exploration into more responsibly sourced materials, which is the next step in our mission to leave a better world for the next generation of hardworking people.”

Carhartt’s participation in the Trust Protocol will also bring openness as the company seeks to obtain a better understanding of their supply chain by allowing full tracking of the US cotton used in their gear.
