Excellence in Textile Exports Awarded by MATEXIL in Mumbai

Mumbai – The Manmade and Technical Textiles Export Promotion Council (MATEXIL), formerly known as SRTEPC, held its Annual Export Award Ceremony in Mumbai on 30th March 2025 to honor companies with outstanding export achievements in FY 2023–24. Around 50 awards were presented across diverse categories in the Manmade Fibre (MMF) textiles sector.

Shri Giriraj Singh, Hon’ble Union Minister of Textiles, was the Chief Guest and lauded the award winners. Addressing the gathering, he emphasized the industry’s shift toward Manmade Fibres due to their cost-effectiveness, and urged the sector to focus on R&D, innovation, and sustainable manufacturing to become global leaders in MMF and technical textiles.

A highlight of the event was the launch of MATEXIL’s revamped website and a new Trade Dashboard aimed at providing in-depth insights into MMF and technical textiles trade. The Minister applauded MATEXIL’s leadership, particularly Chairman Shri Bhadresh Dodhia, for this strategic initiative. He highlighted the need for accurate data to guide policy and reaffirmed the government’s goal of achieving USD 100 billion in textile exports by 2030.

Chairman Shri Bhadresh Dodhia noted the growing global demand for sustainable and recyclable MMF textiles, driven by consumer and retailer preferences. He stressed the importance of industry collaboration and technological advancement to meet international standards and overcome processing challenges.

Vice Chairman Shri Shaleen Toshniwal concluded the event by recognizing the motivation these awards provide to industry players, encouraging newer exporters to aim higher.

Recognized companies included major industry names like Reliance Industries Limited, Grasim Industries Limited, D’Décor Exports, Sangam India Limited, Vardhman Textiles, RSWM Limited, and Banswara Syntex, among others.

The event reaffirmed MATEXIL’s commitment to promoting India’s MMF textile exports and supporting the sector’s global growth.
