Techtextil NA and Texprocess Americas will concentrate on innovation and education

The goal of Techtextil North America (NA) and Texprocess Americas, a premier business platform, is to bring key decision-makers from all of the major sectors that are impacted by technical textiles, nonwovens, sewn goods, machinery, and technology together in one location to experience the newest innovations. More than 350 companies from about 30 nations will participate in the unified platform, which will be held in Atlanta, Georgia, from May 10–12, 2023.

The show’s 2023 edition hopes to improve the visitor experience even more by incorporating new elements that promote education, networking, and professional development. A lineup of free lectures on sustainability, empowering and expanding workforces with technology, the next generation of technical designers, and other topics will be featured at Tech Talks. Visitors will have the chance to hear from industry leaders and subject matter experts as they explore some of the most important developments in research and technology at the highly regarded symposium.

The career and training centre is brand-new this year, and experts from Gaston College’s Textile Technology Centre will be there to give useful materials about the industry’s career prospects, networking advice, and much more. This location will act as a meeting place where visitors could examine job positions listed by participating companies, network with potential employers, and create the ideal résumé, according to the organiser.

A new training programme called Training Takes Time will also be introduced by SPESA in the career and training centre to support manufacturing in the Americas. Merrow Sewing Machine Company and the Industrial Sewing and Innovation Center (ISAIC) will launch this programme, which will concentrate on mechanic, operator, and facility owner training. The opportunity to learn from Merrow’s team of skilled technicians and teachers who have years of expertise in the business will be provided to participants. The training will make use of ISAIC’s augmented reality capabilities in addition to practical demonstrations to show how these teaching methods work. can aid in scaling the sector and fostering expansion in the Americas.

This year, the programme for student research posters will also be back. The programme draws students who are engaged in textile innovation and research at the undergraduate and graduate levels by showcasing the most recent scientific advancements in sewn product design and production.
