Hyosung is reaffirming its commitment to innovation and sustainability throughout the value chain by introducing a wide selection of certified sustainable materials at future events in New York City this summer.
New iterations of the company’s regenTM BIO Spandex—regen BIO, regen BIO+, and regen BIO Max Spandex—replace almost all raw materials derived from petroleum with renewable resources as part of its expanding product line. This action expands upon Hyosung’s groundbreaking 2022 commercial production of bio-based elastane certified by the USDA and SGS.
Brand collaborations that highlight the fiber include Pangaia’s bio-nylon and regenTM BIO Spandex-blend sportswear and Icebreaker’s merino wool and regen BIO Spandex combo. In other partnerships, regenTM BIO Spandex has been combined with organic cotton, lyocell, and silk to show off its adaptability and attractiveness for a range of textile uses.
