A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was inked to initiate the Regenagri Cotton Project between Indo Count Industries Limited, a prominent player in the home textiles industry, and Shreeram Cotton Industries, well-known for making high-quality Sankar-6 cotton in Gujarat. By emphasizing sustainability and resilience, this partnership seeks to revolutionize agricultural methods and provide farmers with the skills and resources they need to prosper in a changing agricultural environment.
Regenerative agriculture, or Regenagri for short, is a project that promotes integrated farming practices that increase biodiversity within ecosystems, strengthen soil health, and improve air and water quality. The initiative aims to generate positive change in the agriculture sector, increasing community well-being and environmental sustainability by combining the knowledge and resources of Indo Count and Shreeram Cotton.
“We are ecstatic to announce this partnership by signing the Memorandum of Understanding,” Indo Count Industries Limited CEO and Executive Director Mr. K. K. Lalpuria stated. “Regenagri underscores our shared commitment to advancing sustainable agriculture practices that benefit both farmers and the environment.”
“By working together, we can achieve significant progress towards building a more sustainable future for agriculture,” stated Mr. Natubhai Panchani, Partner of Shreeram Cotton Industries. Through the Regenagri project, we will combine our skills to create scalable solutions that can be implemented in a variety of agricultural settings.”
