Hyosung joins advocates who are fighting for healthy oceans.

Almost 300 companies support the Ocean Network, a national initiative that promotes environmental solutions. Members of the Ocean Network are frequently involved in their local communities, dedicated to stopping plastic pollution, influencing government policy, keeping corporations accountable, and motivating the next generation to safeguard the ocean.

Hyosung Global Marketing Director – Textiles Simon Whitmarsh-Knight said, “Hyosung is thrilled to join the Ocean Network, cooperating with this formidable group of top corporate leaders to minimise global plastic pollution in our magnificent oceans. The SAS mission is to inspire, unite, and empower communities to take action to protect oceans, beaches, and waves. Our own Ocean Protection Initiative, a programme where we produce high-quality recycled nylon fibre made from used fishing nets and recycled polyester from ocean-bound plastic waste, is in line with this mission. also wildlife

Being the first business to collect and recycle used fishing nets that damage marine life and contaminate our oceans, Hyosung started its journey towards ocean protection in 2007. Hyosung has increased production and re-launched regen ocean nylon, a post-consumer yarn manufactured from used fishing nets, using its unique recycling technology. Regen Ocean Polyester Fiber from the company is created from ocean-bound plastic trash.

Tabitha McCormick, Business Partnerships Officer, Surfers Against Sewage, expressed her excitement that Hyosung had joined the UK’s most ardent network of ocean campaigners. We will battle plastic pollution, pressure the government for change, hold brands accountable, and motivate the next generation to safeguard the ocean with Hyosung and other like-minded businesses at our side.

As a worldwide The members of Hyosung’s team, many of whom prefer spending time near and on the sea, are dispersed throughout the world. They intend to take part in cleanup campaigns in their individual communities as part of the Ocean Network effort and Million Mile Beach Clean to assist maintain the health of our waterways now and in the future.
