Innovations and Insights: A Comprehensive Review of GTTES 2025

The Global Textile Technology & Engineering Show (GTTES) 2025, hosted by the Indian International Textile Machinery Exhibitions Society (India ITME Society), concluded its three-day event from February 21st to 23rd, 2025, at the Bombay Exhibition Centre in Mumbai. This event marked a significant milestone for India’s textile industry, highlighting technological advancements and fostering global collaborations. The inauguration ceremony began with a traditional lamp-lighting ceremony, setting a culturally rich tone. Prominent attendees included Dr. Kailash Shinde, Commissioner of the Navi Mumbai Municipal Corporation, and Mrs. Roop Rashi Mahapatra, Textiles Commissioner of the Government of India, along with several international dignitaries.

GTTES 2025 showcased the latest advancements in textile machinery and technology, emphasising innovation, collaboration, and sustainability. Key highlights included major product launches across various textile segments. The weaving segment featured new offerings from companies like Laxmi Shuttleless Looms Pvt. Ltd. and Premier Looms Manufacturers Pvt. Ltd. ColorJet India Limited showcased innovations in digital printing, while Caru-Natex and National Electrical Engineering Company introduced new processing technologies. The event brought together exhibitors from 39 countries, featuring over 210 participants showcasing cutting-edge textile machinery solutions.

The event emphasised sustainability, with a strong focus on eco-friendly practices aligning with India’s commitment to reducing environmental impact in the textile sector. The B2B Pavilion facilitated networking and the establishment of new alliances between domestic and international delegates. Memorandums of Understanding (MOUs) were signed to promote innovation and development in the textile industry. The success of GTTES 2025 sets the stage for future editions, with a focus on continued innovation, sustainability, and global collaboration.

The official inauguration of India ITME 2026 took place during GTTES 2025, promising more advancements and opportunities for the textile machinery and technology sectors. As India aims to become a global textile hub by 2047, GTTES 2025 has laid a strong foundation for future growth and innovation in the sector.
