A Visionary Event Shaping the Future of Sustainable Fashion in India
The Fashion Forward Summit 2025, hosted by the International Fashion Business Exchange Council (IFBEC), concluded successfully with a powerful focus on sustainability, innovation, and global market opportunities for the Indian fashion and textile industry. With a stellar line-up of over 30 visionaries, the summit brought together industry leaders, policymakers, and changemakers to discuss the future of fashion, textiles, and sustainability, culminating in an actionable roadmap for 2030.
The event, which took place at Y.B. Chavan Centre, Nariman Point, Mumbai, was graced by distinguished dignitaries including Smt. Roop Rashi, Textile Commissioner, Government of India; Shri. Pasha Patel, Chairman, Chief Minister’s Committee on Environment & Sustainability; and Shri. Sandeep Bajoria, Chairman, Advisory Board of IFBEC. Their leadership and expertise set the tone for the summit, emphasizing the need for collaboration, innovation, and a sustainable future for India’s fashion and textile sector.
During the summit, experts from the media and fashion industries shared insights on key topics like sustainability, unlocking India’s global textile markets, and navigating industry challenges. The event also focused on India’s potential to become a dominant player in the global textile market, identifying new growth opportunities, innovations, and export avenues. A key highlight was the development of an Actionable Roadmap 2030, a strategic plan to address environmental challenges, promote sustainability, and drive economic growth in the sector over the next decade.
