North Indian Cotton Prices See A Dip

Better buying for export orders was also reported by trade sources from the Ludhiana market. According to a trader from Ludhiana, Indian exporters have received orders from numerous international markets. According to TexPro, 30 count cotton combed yarn was sold for between 282-292 per kg (GST included). Traded prices for 20 and 25 count combed yarn were 272-282 and 277-287 per kilogramme, respectively. 30 count carded yarn’s price per kg was stable at $262 to $272.

The market price for 30 recycled PC coloured (high quality) yarn was between 145 and 150 yen per kilogramme, whereas the price for 10s optical yarn was between 100 and 110 yen per kg. Price ranges for crab were indicated as 150-155 per kg. Recycled polyester fibre, often known as PET bottle fibre, is priced between $82 and $84 per kg.

In the meantime, despite a decline in demand, cotton prices in north India remained stable. The traders claimed that the supply and demand for cotton were both constrained. Low demand prevented cotton prices from benefiting from reduced arrival. The MCX cotton candy future’s softness was also unhelpful for the yarn market. Arrival of cotton was about 11,000 170 kg bales throughout the states of northern India. The price of cotton per maund of 37.2 kg varied between 6,300 and 6,400 in Punjab, 6,300 and 6,400 in Haryana, and 6,475 and 6,550 in upper Rajasthan. In lower Rajasthan, cotton was sold for between 60,500 and 62,500 rupees each 356 kg candy.
