Iluna Group to Showcase Contemporary Lace Developments at MarediModa Cannes 2026

Nature-inspired motifs, fluid geometries, contrasting colours and varied textures feature in Iluna Group’s lace presentation from 27–29 October at the Palace of Festivals and Congresses of Cannes.
Iluna Group will present its latest lace developments at MarediModa Cannes 2026, focusing on textile structures, transparency, colour contrasts and nature-inspired patterns for contemporary beachwear. The collection explores different combinations of openwork designs, three-dimensional textures, yarns and fibres, highlighting the role of material development in creating distinct textile surfaces.
Iluna Group Examines New Lace Structures and Design Directions
Iluna Group’s presentation at MarediModa Cannes will examine lace through a range of textile constructions that combine sheer effects, geometric patterns, botanical motifs and contrasting textures. The exhibition will take place from 27–29 October 2026 at the Palace of Festivals and Congresses of Cannes, Cannes, Booth 43.
The designs incorporate organic-inspired patterns alongside more defined structures, with colours spanning natural tones, aquatic shades, vibrant corals and deeper hues. The developments focus on variations in texture, construction and colour, offering different approaches to lace for contemporary beachwear.
Nature-Inspired Textile Patterns
Leaves, flowers and branches serve as references for graphic patterns developed through contemporary textile constructions. Rather than reproducing botanical forms directly, the designs reinterpret them through lace structures and surface treatments.
Fluid Geometries and Openwork Designs
Waves, curved lines, open structures and irregular patterns introduce visual movement into the lace designs. These elements draw on the characteristics of water and lightness, extending the use of lace beyond conventional ornamental patterns.
Colour Contrasts Across the Collection
The colour palette includes vibrant coral, aquatic turquoise, deep green, aubergine, chocolate and ivory. These shades combine brighter colours with deeper tones, creating contrasts across the different textile designs.
Transparency, Texture and Three-Dimensional Structures
Another aspect of the presentation is the relationship between transparency and material structure. Some lace designs feature lightweight, open constructions, while others use more defined and three-dimensional patterns to create greater depth and texture.

The collection also incorporates mesh, Lurex effects, unexpected shimmers and crochet-inspired interpretations. Research into colours, textures, manufacturing processes, yarns and fibres contributes to the development of varied textile surfaces.
Iluna Group’s approach brings together creative design, textile technology and responsibility through continued exploration of materials and processes. The company’s presentation at MarediModa examines how these elements can be used to develop different lace structures and product identities.
The showcase positions lace as a material for ongoing experimentation, with an emphasis on the relationship between textile construction, surface appearance and design possibilities.
