IDEA®25 & FiltXPO™ 2025 Spotlight Sustainability & Innovation

INDA’s co-located trade shows, IDEA®25 and FiltXPO™ 2025, held from April 29 to May 1 at the Miami Beach Convention Center, concluded with tremendous success, underscoring their role as pivotal platforms for the nonwovens and filtration sectors.

These events brought together exhibitions, conferences, training sessions, and prestigious awards to promote industry growth, innovation, and sustainability. INDA President & CEO Tony Fragnito emphasized the exceptional level of participation and enthusiasm, highlighting how face-to-face engagements facilitated global collaboration, business development, and problem-solving within the supply chain.

Exhibition & Conference Impact:
The events hosted over 650 exhibitors, delivering a robust showcase of technologies and solutions across the entire value chain. Attendees reported strong lead generation and networking opportunities with senior decision-makers. Popular Lightning Talks helped attract traffic to exhibition booths, while INDA’s market insights further enriched the experience.

Sustainability was a major conference theme, with the 2-day IDEA Sustainability in Nonwovens Conference covering topics like regulations, eco-design, hemp fiber use, bioplastics, and the life cycle of nonwovens. Meanwhile, FiltXPO’s Advances in Filtration Conference, hosted with the American Filtration and Separations Society (AFS), explored topics such as healthy buildings, circularity, data center air quality, and innovations in nonwoven filtration media.

Education & Research:
Attendees benefited from targeted training courses, including detailed programs on nonwovens, wet wipes, hygiene systems, and filtration media. FiltXPO also introduced a new poster session featuring research and technologies from 23 companies.

Awards & Recognition:
INDA honored excellence with the IDEA Achievement Awards (in partnership with Nonwovens Industry magazine), recognizing companies like Dilo Systems GmbH, Woolchemy NZ Ltd., and KINDCLOTH™ for innovations across various product categories. Similarly, FiltXPO awards (with International Filtration News) celebrated achievements by Greentech Environmental, Filtration Advice Inc., and Ahlstrom.

Looking Ahead:
INDA announced the next FiltXPO will be held October 28–29, 2026, in Minneapolis, MN, and IDEA will return on March 23–25, 2027, in Kansas City, MO—promising continued momentum for these vital industry gatherings.
