The International Cotton Advisory Committee (ICAC) has released the 2025 edition of its flagship Cotton Data Book, recognized as the most comprehensive resource on global cotton production, trade, and sustainability.

The publication provides in-depth coverage of 38 cotton-producing countries, representing more than 99 percent of the world’s cotton output. With more than 870 pages, the report consolidates extensive validated data, including information on water, fertilizer, and pesticide inputs, labor and cost structures, and detailed market dynamics, into a format designed for researchers, policymakers, and industry professionals.

Dr. Keshav R. Kranthi, ICAC Chief Scientist and author of the report, stated:
“The ICAC Cotton Data Book is the only global resource that captures the complete story of cotton production every year — from field to fiber — representing more than 99 percent of world output. It is a labor of love, built on gathering, validating, and presenting reliable data to help researchers and policymakers address the real challenges and opportunities for a more sustainable cotton future.”
