Registration is officially open for the 83rd Plenary Meeting of the International Cotton Advisory Committee (ICAC), scheduled for November 17–20, 2025, at Malaika Beach Resort, located along Lake Victoria in Mwanza, Tanzania.

This year’s meeting will be hosted under the theme: “Leveraging Sustainable Cotton and Textiles for Industrial and Rural Development”, as announced by the Tanzanian Organizing Committee.

Over four days, the event will bring together stakeholders across the global cotton and textile value chain. The agenda includes expert-led sessions on:

  • Deep Learning & Sensor Technologies for automated disease and pest detection in cotton cultivation
  • Financing strategies for investments in textile and apparel industries in emerging markets
  • Cotton Marketing Insights: Understanding what strategies work best and for whom
  • Updates and reports from the ICAC Secretariat

A notable highlight is the return of the World Café, a participatory session designed to prioritize attendee voices and dialogue. The 2025 theme for the World Café is:
“Exploring the Challenges and Potential of Payment for Ecosystem Services (PES).”

To cap the event, participants can join a two-day Technical Tour on November 21–22, offering a unique opportunity to explore Tanzania’s renowned wildlife and natural beauty.

Interested attendees can now access the registration page, which includes full session details, speaker line-up, accommodation information, and Technical Tour options.
