ACPIT has been introduced as an industry-led certification programme designed to strengthen international trade capabilities and support India’s export growth objectives. The initiative focuses on developing practical knowledge and operational expertise across the textile export ecosystem.

According to TEXPROCIL, the programme addresses the need for professionally trained exporters capable of navigating global trade processes, compliance requirements and international market dynamics. The initiative aims to bridge the gap between trade policy frameworks and practical implementation by equipping participants with industry-oriented training.

The programme aligns with several Government initiatives and national priorities, including the Export Promotion Mission (2025), particularly under Niryat Disha, the Foreign Trade Policy (FTP) under Para 1.30, the Skill India Mission, and broader trade facilitation and Ease of Doing Business initiatives.

The Advanced Certificate Programme in International Trade has been designed for exporters, importers, MSMEs, trade professionals and aspiring entrepreneurs. The curriculum includes eight specialised modules covering:

• International trade documentation
• Logistics and supply chain management
• Export-import compliance
• Trade finance
• Government schemes and export incentives
• Market access strategies
• Regulatory frameworks
• Practical trade operations and risk management

The programme will adopt a practical learning approach through case studies, real-world business scenarios, expert sessions, interactive modules and applied trade exercises.

TEXPROCIL stated that the programme is expected to support MSMEs by improving access to structured trade education and strengthening operational understanding of international trade procedures and compliance systems.

Expected outcomes from the initiative include improved export compliance, better utilisation of Government export incentives, enhanced MSME participation in global trade, stronger trade policy implementation at the grassroots level, and the development of a skilled export workforce.

The programme is being implemented entirely as an industry initiative by TEXPROCIL in collaboration with EXIM Institute and does not involve any direct financial implication for the Government. Participation will be offered on a nominal fee basis.

Speaking during the launch, Shri Vijay Agarwal, Chairman, TEXPROCIL, stated:
“India’s export ambitions require not only policy support but also a highly skilled exporter community capable of understanding and responding to the dynamic global trade environment. ACPIT is designed as a practical and industry-oriented initiative that will equip exporters with relevant skills and knowledge required for sustainable export growth.”

Shri Ravi Sam, Vice Chairman, TEXPROCIL, added:
“Capacity building is increasingly becoming a critical pillar of export competitiveness. Through ACPIT, TEXPROCIL seeks to create an ecosystem where exporters, particularly MSMEs and emerging businesses, gain practical expertise that translates into measurable trade success.”

Through ACPIT, TEXPROCIL aims to support India’s export growth objectives, strengthen public-private collaboration in trade capacity building, improve global trade competitiveness and develop future-ready export professionals.
