Heimtextil Uzbekistan, Texworld Tashkent and Apparel Sourcing Tashkent Set for October 2026

Tashkent to Host Three Major Textile Trade Events from 12–14 October

Central Asia’s textile industry will converge in Tashkent this October as Heimtextil Uzbekistan, Texworld Tashkent and Apparel Sourcing Tashkent return for their 2026 editions. The three events will be held from 12 to 14 October 2026 at the NEC Uzexpocentre in Tashkent.

The exhibitions are organised by Business Media Central Asia (BMCA) with the support of Messe Frankfurt Exhibition GmbH and are expected to bring together exhibitors and buyers covering yarn, fabrics, finished garments, accessories and home textiles.

Uzbekistan’s Textile Market Continues to Expand

The 2025 edition featured 219 exhibitors from 6 countries and attracted 3,982 trade visitors from 42 countries across 8,000 m² of exhibition space. For 2026, organisers expect an increase in exhibitors and international buyers, along with broader representation across the textile value chain.

Exhibitors are expected from Uzbekistan, India, China, Turkey, Russia, Kyrgyzstan, Armenia and beyond, bringing sourcing opportunities from three continents together at the event.

Uzbekistan’s domestic textile manufacturing base has also continued to expand. As of February 2026, the country had 6,073 registered garment-manufacturing enterprises, within a wider network of more than 12,000 textile enterprises nationwide. More than 5,000 of these enterprises are dedicated to finished apparel.

Although Uzbekistan is one of the world’s leading cotton growers, domestic mills do not fully meet local demand. Up to 100,000 tonnes of mixed-composition fabric and textiles are imported into Uzbekistan every year, while cotton-based fabric continues to form the backbone of domestic production.

International Hosted Buyer Programme

The International Hosted Buyer Programme is among the features available to exhibitors at the Tashkent events. The programme brings qualified procurement professionals, retail chains and distributors to the exhibition floor, with organisers covering accommodation and transfer costs and arranging targeted B2B meetings.

In 2025, the programme included buyers and retail representatives from more than 15 countries and regions, including the UK, USA, Germany, France, Portugal, Hungary, Bulgaria, Poland, Turkey, Pakistan, China, Hong Kong, Russia, Kazakhstan, Tajikistan and Afghanistan. Several participants attended the programme for the first time.

For 2026, the programme is again targeting wholesale buyers, sourcing agents representing European fashion brands and trading houses from Europe, along with retail chains and distributors from the CIS, Middle East and Asia.

Registration as a hosted buyer is currently open to industry professionals. Details are available through Dinura Ibragimova, Exhibition Operations Supervisor.

Uzbekistan’s Growing Textile Export Sector

Uzbekistan’s textile exports increased from $6 million in 2017 to $3 billion in 2024. The government’s next target is $7 billion by 2028.

The industry is currently valued at $8.2 billion and is growing at 5-6% a year. Planned foreign investment for 2026 alone stands at $2.2 billion.

For international buyers and brands, import duties on mixed-composition fabrics are being waived through 2028. At the same time, production capacity is expanding, with plans for an additional 397 million m² of fabric output and 224 million garment units in 2026 alone.

The market is also seeing an expanding base of internationally certified factories, including facilities with OEKO-TEX, BCI and Better Work certifications.

Uzbekistan’s geographical position places it at the crossroads of Europe and Asia, providing a base for brands, sourcing agents and trading houses serving CIS and Central Asian markets while maintaining export routes into Europe.

SME Pavilion to Support Smaller Producers

A dedicated SME Pavilion will return in 2026, providing small and medium-sized manufacturers from different regions of Uzbekistan with access to international buyers under the “Made in Uzbekistan” banner.

The participating businesses will cover areas including home textiles, knitwear, apparel and accessories.

Conference Programme

Alongside the exhibition floor, the 2026 conference programme will address several areas relevant to the textile industry, including:

  • Sustainable production and OEKO-TEX certification
  • Digital transformation in the textile business
  • New export markets for Uzbek textiles
  • Central Asia as a strategic textile industry hub
  • Brand diversification and textile marketing
  • Women in the textile business: challenges and opportunities

Official Opening

The official opening ceremony will include representatives from government bodies, industry associations and international partners. Participants will include the Agency for the Development of Light Industry of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the Uztekstilprom Association, Messe Frankfurt Exhibition GmbH and others.

Registration for Exhibitors, Visitors and Hosted Buyers

Registration is open for exhibitors, visitors and Hosted Buyer Programme participants through the official exhibition websites.

Confirmed and prospective exhibitors already include companies from Uzbekistan, Russia, India, Turkey, Italy, Hong Kong and China. Early registration is recommended for securing stand positions and buyer meeting slots.
