Heimtextil 2026 Expands Carpets & Rugs With Trends and Innovation

A strengthened Carpets & Rugs showcase brings deeper insights, new products, and future-focused trends.
Heimtextil 2026 introduces an expanded Carpets & Rugs portfolio with unique handcrafted pieces, trend forums, and the all-new Future Floor area, offering a comprehensive global overview of the carpet industry.
Heimtextil 2026 is set to expand its Carpets & Rugs showcase more comprehensively than ever before. With a refined structure and a broader exhibitor offering, the world’s leading trade fair for home and contract textiles brings together top suppliers and key carpet categories under one platform. For the first time, the exhibition will also feature premium, one-of-a-kind pieces, completing a global assortment that spans all production techniques and sales channels. A new highlight, the Future Floor area, debuts as a curated space dedicated to trend insights, knowledge exchange, and new business opportunities tailored specifically for the carpet sector.
Carpets & Rugs will be presented across four hall levels at Heimtextil 2026—marking the most diverse and extensive display ever. From 13–16 January, Frankfurt will once again serve as the central meeting point for the global carpet community. Alongside established manufacturers of machine-woven and hand-woven carpets, the 2026 edition will introduce a special selection of high-quality, unique handcrafted pieces. Exhibitors such as ABC Italia, Le Cadeau Berbere, North Carpet, Rezas Rugs, Satar Carpet, and the Trade Development Authority of Pakistan (TDAP) will present curated works that merge artisanal heritage with contemporary aesthetics. Buyers and professionals from architecture, interior design, contract business, retail, and industry will benefit from an expanded spectrum of textile flooring—from hand-knotted and machine-made products to high-volume suppliers and international group pavilions.
“The industry stands united in Frankfurt and responds to current market pressures with a strong emphasis on innovation—in design, craftsmanship, and market expansion. In 2026, Carpets & Rugs will highlight the expertise of the global carpet community through a customized content programme. The addition of hand-knotted carpets further enriches the portfolio. With this, Heimtextil offers a forward-looking platform for all stakeholders and solidifies its position as the most influential global hub for the carpet industry,” said Bettina Bär, Director Heimtextil.
