Hansaplast Launches Washproof Printed Plasters in Sports and Wildlife Designs

New range features 10 prints across Sports and Wildlife, with Jonty Rhodes as campaign ambassador
Hansaplast has launched its new Washproof Printed Plasters in India, featuring Sports and Wildlife designs aimed at making everyday wound care more engaging for children. The launch is being supported by former South African cricketer Jonty Rhodes.
The new range is available in two variants — Sports and Wildlife — combining printed designs with wound protection features. According to Hansaplast, the range includes 10 prints, giving children different designs to choose from based on their interests and personalities.
Minor cuts, scrapes and bruises are common among active children. The new plasters are designed for everyday use and feature a washproof construction and strong adhesion. The company states that the plasters block 99% of bacteria and provide antiseptic protection with Benzalkonium Chloride.
Commenting on the launch, Geetika Mehta, Managing Director, NIVEA India, said, “India’s kids’ market is evolving rapidly, with the childcare products industry growing at an estimated 20% CAGR between 2024 and 2029. With around 13 crore urban children under the age of 14, there is a significant opportunity to create products that meet the changing expectations of young parents. Today, parents are looking beyond basic utility and seeking premium products that combine quality, protection and engaging experiences. With Hansaplast Washproof Printed Plasters, we have brought this thinking to an everyday first-aid essential. By combining our 140 years of wound care expertise with trusted protection and fun, collectible designs, we are turning a routine care moment from first aid to feel-good.”
Jonty Rhodes features in campaign
Hansaplast has associated the launch with Jonty Rhodes, whose cricket career included several well-known diving fielding efforts and an active playing style. The campaign connects his sporting background with the everyday cuts, scrapes and minor injuries that children may experience while playing.
A new television commercial featuring Rhodes shows an interaction between the former cricketer and a child following a minor scrape. The film showcases the printed plasters and focuses on the idea that minor injuries need not interrupt children's activities.
The campaign also highlights the Sports and Wildlife designs and the protection features of the new range.
Designed and printed in India
The 10 prints in the new range are divided between the Sports and Wildlife variants. Hansaplast said the plasters have been designed and printed in India and are intended for everyday use.
The products are positioned as an alternative to traditional plain bandages, with the designs intended to make wound care more engaging for children following minor injuries during play or outdoor activities.
Hansaplast said the launch combines its wound-care expertise with product designs aimed at children and their parents.
The Hansaplast Washproof Printed Plasters are now available through leading e-commerce and quick-commerce platforms.
