Groz-Beckert to Showcase Textile Machinery Innovations at ITMA ASIA + CITME 2026

The company will present developments across knitting, weaving, nonwovens, sewing, tufting and spinning at Hall 4.1, Booth D41, from November 20 to 24 in Shanghai.

Groz-Beckert will exhibit its latest products and technologies across six textile-related product areas at ITMA ASIA + CITME 2026, scheduled for November 20–24, 2026, in Shanghai, China. Visitors can explore the company’s innovations in Knitting, Weaving, Nonwovens, Sewing, Tufting and Spinning at Hall 4.1, Booth D41.

Knitting: Energy Efficiency and Specialised Needle Technology

In circular knitting, Groz-Beckert will highlight its LCmax™ energy-saving needles. Their wave-shaped shank geometry is designed to improve energy efficiency, reduce friction and simplify handling while maintaining performance.

The flat knitting segment will feature two special-application needles. The SAN™ TT is developed for producing particularly tight loops and is suitable for technical and medical textiles. The new SAN™ FY is designed to process uneven effect yarns while maintaining fabric appearance, including in applications involving demanding materials and intricate designs.

In collaboration with SINOTEX, Groz-Beckert will demonstrate the capabilities of its fine-gauge technology through a jointly presented knitted collar. The application uses the spring-loaded latch needle Vosa Spec. 89.50-45 G016 to produce finer fabrics and tighter stitch loops for high-quality collars and sweater components.

The Legwear product group will present its dur™ needles, designed for durability in sock and fine hosiery machines that require precision and load resistance.

For warp knitting, the company will showcase its patented compound needle Spec. 51/43.36 G 101 for fine-gauge elastic fabrics. Its reinforced plastic part provides greater stability, while minimal tolerances support the production of uniform, high-quality fabrics.

Groz-Beckert will also introduce an AI-powered WeChat chatbot for knitting customers in China. The digital service will allow users to access product information and make product and price enquiries through natural-language interaction. It is intended to provide quick responses and simplify routine customer enquiries.

Weaving: Solutions for Advanced Fabric Applications

The Weaving product area will present solutions covering the process from yarn preparation to fabric production, with particular attention to PCB and glass fibre weaving.

As finer yarns and increasingly sophisticated electronic fabrics place greater demands on process stability and fabric quality, the company will showcase solutions developed for these applications.

The portfolio includes weaving preparation equipment and yarn-guiding components such as drop wires, healds and reeds, designed to support reliable performance in demanding weaving processes.

Nonwovens: New Felting Needles and Carding Solutions

In Nonwovens, Groz-Beckert will present its latest developments, including the Litespeed™ felting needle. The needle is designed to reduce insertion and removal times, simplify handling and improve operational efficiency.

The showcase will also include the newly developed CB-Barb felting needle.

For nonwovens carding, the company will introduce its specialised Mounting Service. The portfolio will be complemented by SiroLock™ plus wires from the Groz-Beckert InLine card clothing family. These products are designed to support precision, performance and reliability throughout the carding process.

Sewing: Needles for Demanding Industrial Applications

The Sewing product area will focus on the SAN™ range of special-application needles developed for demanding sewing operations.

The SAN™ 5.2 features enhanced stability and reliable loop pick-up, making it suitable for technical textile applications such as airbags. The SAN™ 6 is designed to provide process reliability when sewing woven fabrics, including denim.

Both variants feature GEBEDUR™ coating, which protects against wear, particularly around the needle point.

For extremely fine materials, Groz-Beckert will present the slim SAN™ 10 and the even slimmer SAN™ 10 XS. Both are designed to provide dimensional stability while minimising the risk of material damage.

The company will also display its Litespeed™ needle, developed for heat-intensive sewing applications, including high sewing speeds and the processing of dense or multi-layer materials. Its specialised geometry is intended to support sewing process stability.

Alongside its products, Groz-Beckert will showcase the “Groz-Beckert Sewing” video series and the “Needle Finder”. The video series features concise, application-focused explanations from company experts on industrial sewing and sewing machine needles.

Available through the Sewing Customer Portal, the interactive Needle Finder recommends suitable needles for different seams and applications using specific product examples.

Tufting: Gauge Part System for Floor Coverings

The Tufting product sector will present its established Gauge Part system for manufacturing tufted floor coverings, including carpets, bath mats and artificial turf.

The system combines different materials across individual components, with their coordinated functional interaction designed to support the production process.

Spinning: Energy-Saving Components and Carding Developments

For the spinning industry, Groz-Beckert will introduce a new energy-saving, maintenance-free cylinder wire. The product is designed to offer an extended service life, higher card output and lower maintenance costs.

The company will also present further developments in stationary flats and revolving tops. Its high-PPSI revolving tops are designed for processing fine yarns, while a specialised tops technology has been developed for the latest card models available in the market.

The stationary flats will feature a new profile and wire designs aimed at improving overall carding performance.

Groz-Beckert’s participation at ITMA ASIA + CITME 2026 will bring together its latest developments across key textile production processes at Hall 4.1, Booth D41, in Shanghai from November 20 to 24.
