Green Metrics Debuts in Latin America with Data-Driven Pilot to Transform Sustainable Fashion

MEXICO CITY, MEXICO / UTRECHT, NETHERLANDS – July 8, 2025:
Mexico City-based slow fashion platform Fundamentally and environmental data pioneer Green Story have launched “Fundamentally Green Metrics – LATAM”, an innovative pilot program aimed at fast-tracking sustainability transformation in the Latin American fashion industry.
This initiative delivers AI-powered sustainability tools and metrics to small and medium-sized fashion producers in the region. The program includes access to digital product passports (DPPs), carbon footprint analytics, and additional environmental performance metrics powered by Green Story’s advanced platform.
Through this program, participating brands will be able to improve traceability and better prepare for international sustainability regulations, while also enhancing competitiveness in global markets.
The fashion industry is under increasing pressure to demonstrate sustainability, with transparency and impact measurement becoming essential for market access. While Latin America boasts exceptional creativity and craftsmanship, many producers face challenges in accessing reliable environmental data. This pilot program addresses that gap by offering tailored and affordable sustainability tools and guidance.

- Promotional exposure through “Fundamentally Green Metrics – LATAM”
These benefits are intended to improve compliance readiness, boost visibility among responsible buyers, support entry into premium export markets, and help build consumer trust through transparent communication of environmental impact.
The pilot will include 30 selected brands or manufacturers based in Latin America with small or medium production capacity. Selection will be based on demonstrated commitment to improving sustainability, interest in enhancing traceability, and readiness to engage global markets.
Selected participants will be onboarded for a three-month implementation phase, followed by continued platform access for one year.
Green Story and Fundamentally plan to scale the initiative based on the pilot’s outcomes, expanding support to more producers across the region committed to sustainable practices.
