Grasim Appoints Sangeeta Tanwani as CEO (Designate) for Textiles Business

Grasim Industries has appointed Sangeeta Tanwani as CEO (Designate) of its textiles business as part of a leadership transition within one of the company's key business segments.
Tanwani will join Grasim as CEO (Designate) and Senior Management Personnel on August 1, 2026. She is scheduled to assume the position of CEO of the textiles business on November 1, 2026, succeeding Kapil Agrawal, who will transition to a new assignment within the Aditya Birla Group.
The appointment brings a consumer business executive with more than three decades of experience across retail, FMCG, financial services and pharmaceuticals. Her professional background includes leadership roles in marketing, branding, business strategy and business management.
Since joining the Aditya Birla Group in 2018, Tanwani has been associated with the transformation of Pantaloons and played a role in expanding the group's presence in the value-fashion segment. She also led the development of Style Up into OWND, a fashion brand focused on Gen Z and young consumers.
Grasim's textiles business operates under the Linen Club and other fabric brands and has been expanding its focus on branded fabrics and value-added product offerings amid increasing competition in the textile and apparel market.
Kapil Agrawal will continue in his current position until October 31, 2026, before assuming his new role within the Aditya Birla Group. In his communication to the company, he described his tenure at Grasim as valuable and enriching and said he looked forward to continuing his journey within the group.
The leadership change comes as textile and fashion companies continue to focus on brand development, consumer engagement and omnichannel growth strategies within the evolving market environment.
