GMAC welcomes almost $15 million in garment industry investment

The Garment Manufacturers Association of Cambodia (GMAC) has welcomed three major investments into the industry following the approval of three new garment projects by Cambodia's Council for Development (CDC) yesterday. A total of $14.9 million is set aside for the initiatives, which are expected to create 3,200 new employment.
The new projects, according to GMAC secretary-general Ken Loo, are welcome since they would assist in reinforcing the Kingdom's core sector, especially following the interruption created by the pandemic.
