Global Sourcing Expo Sydney 2025 Shatters Attendance Records, Reinforces Global Trade Hub Status

The Global Sourcing Expo Sydney has reaffirmed its status as Australia’s leading trade sourcing platform, drawing an unprecedented 5,434 unique visitors to the International Convention Centre from 17 to 19 June 2025. This marks a significant 22% increase in attendance compared to the previous year, highlighting the event’s growing significance across the apparel, textiles, accessories, footwear, and homeware industries.
With 542 exhibitors representing 17 countries—including India, Nepal, Vietnam, Türkiye, and Indonesia—the Expo successfully bridged international suppliers with Australian buyers, continuing its mission to connect Australia with global markets.
“This year’s record numbers speak volumes about the global appetite for reliable, face-to-face sourcing opportunities and the strength of our event in delivering high-value connections,” said Julie Holt, Event Director at International Expo Group and organiser of the Global Sourcing Expo.
While 5,434 unique attendees passed through the event over the three-day period, 1,044 returned for subsequent visits, showcasing the Expo’s strong appeal in providing extended opportunities for networking, learning, and supplier engagement. Attendee feedback following the show further reinforced the event’s impact: 100% of respondents confirmed making new supplier connections, 75% would recommend the Expo to peers, and 50% are planning to place orders with exhibitors within the next 12 months.
The Sydney edition of the Expo continued to draw interest from major retail groups, established brands, independent designers, wholesalers, and sourcing professionals. “Of those in attendance, majority held senior leadership roles as directors, co-founders, CEOs, creative directors, managers and buyers; with more than 70% in charge of final decision making,” Holt noted.

Post-event testimonials reflected the value of in-person interactions. One attendee remarked that the Expo offered a rare opportunity to “connect with legitimate suppliers… without having to deal with language barriers and online issues.” Another participant praised the quality and variety of materials available, saying, “We’ve found a good range of materials for our niche product, and many companies that have accreditations which we haven’t been able to find online before. It was great to meet them in person and we’re excited to get in contact.”
Looking ahead, the Global Sourcing Expo is preparing its next stop in Melbourne, scheduled for 18 to 20 November 2025 at the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre. “We look forward to another opportunity to showcase a stellar line-up of exhibitors and Seminar Series hosts at the upcoming event and urge any potential exhibitors to get in touch to secure their spot,” Holt concluded.
