German Machinery Manufacturers Report Strong Engagement and Global Reach

Textile Machinery Sector Celebrates a Record-Breaking Showcase of Technology, Collaboration, and Opportunity
VDMA member companies expressed high satisfaction with ITMA ASIA + CITME 2025 held in Singapore, calling it a globally connected, innovation-driven exhibition that exceeded expectations in visitor quality, networking, and business outcomes.
The ITMA ASIA + CITME 2025 exhibition in Singapore proved to be a remarkable success, drawing over 840 exhibitors from 30 countries and thousands of visitors representing more than 100 nations. The event showcased the true international scale of the textile machinery industry, facilitating dynamic business interactions, project discussions, and numerous confirmed orders. Many VDMA member companies described their experience as “better than expected.”
Dr. Janpeter Horn, Chairman of the VDMA Textile Machinery Association, commented:

Looking ahead, ITMA 2027 will return to Germany for the first time in two decades, taking place from 16–22 September 2027 in Hannover. The VDMA (Mechanical Engineering Industry Association) represents over 3,600 German and European mechanical and plant engineering companies. Employing approximately 3 million people across the EU, including 1.2 million in Germany, the sector remains the largest industrial employer in the region. Mechanical and plant engineering contributes an estimated €870 billion in turnover across the EU, with 80% of machinery sold originating from domestic manufacturing plants.
