GBTL Launches FLO Memory Stretch Fabric Brand with Rebound Tech™ and Unveils FLO CAST

Company introduces recovery-focused stretch fabric alongside FLO CAST, India's first fashion forecasting journal by a fabric brand

Grasim Bhiwani Textile Limited (GBTL) unveiled FLO Memory Stretch, a new premium stretch fabric brand developed with Rebound Tech™, during an exclusive industry preview held at JW Marriott, Juhu, Mumbai. The event also marked the launch of FLO CAST, described as India's first biannual fashion forecasting journal introduced by a fabric brand.

The preview brought together textile professionals, business partners and industry experts to experience the new fabric platform, which focuses on recovery performance rather than stretch alone.

Focus on Intelligent Fabric Recovery

According to GBTL, FLO Memory Stretch has been developed around the principle that fabric performance should be measured by its ability to recover its original shape after movement.

Powered by Rebound Tech™, the fabric is designed to move naturally with the wearer while maintaining garment shape, comfort and appearance throughout the day.

The company said conventional stretch fabrics often lose their form over time, whereas FLO Memory Stretch has been engineered to provide improved shape retention through intelligent recovery.

Designed Around Six Everyday Occasions

Crafted in Paris and engineered in India, FLO Memory Stretch has been developed for six key occasions:

  • Business
  • Everyday
  • Travel
  • Leisure
  • Party
  • Wedding

Each collection has been created to balance comfort, performance and appearance based on specific usage requirements while incorporating the same recovery-focused technology.

Industry Leaders Share Product Vision

Speaking at the launch, Sanjay Srivastava, Vice President & Brand Sales Head – FLO, said the new brand was created after rethinking how stretch fabrics should be evaluated.

He noted that FLO Memory Stretch focuses on what happens after a fabric stretches, with Rebound Tech™ designed to improve recovery and maintain garment performance.

Rajendra V. Agarwal, Managing Director & Group Mentor, Donear Group, said the development reflects years of research into changing consumer lifestyles and the need for fabrics that adapt to multiple occasions throughout the day.

Technical Presentation Highlights Fabric Engineering

During the event, Sushil Hada, PPC Head, GBTL, presented the research and material science behind Rebound Tech™, explaining how the proprietary technology was developed to combine stretch with improved recovery, helping garments retain their structure and drape.

Master tailor Ujjwal Savla, founder of Threadsmith, also discussed how specialised tailoring techniques complement advanced stretch fabrics to maximise garment performance.

FLO CAST Makes Its Debut

Alongside the fabric launch, GBTL introduced FLO CAST, a biannual fashion forecasting journal designed for retailers, designers and manufacturers.

The publication compiles international trends in colour, fabrics, silhouettes, styling and consumer preferences to support planning and product development. The inaugural edition covers the period from July 2026 to January 2027.

According to Aakash Mishra, AVP – Marketing, Donear Group, FLO CAST aims to provide industry stakeholders with insights into future fashion directions in addition to introducing new fabric innovations.

Trade Launch Planned

Following the Mumbai preview, GBTL plans to officially present FLO Memory Stretch to retailers, wholesalers and dealers through a dedicated trade launch, offering the industry an opportunity to experience the new fabric platform firsthand.
