FLUX GmbH Launches IP67-Rated IND-ROT-G Encoder for Harsh, Space-Constrained Applications
New guarded inductive rotary encoder provides absolute position feedback with up to 21-bit resolution for demanding environments
FLUX GmbH has launched the IND-ROT-G, a guarded, IP67-rated addition to its IND-ROT inductive rotary encoder series. Announced in Braunau am Inn, Austria, on September 24, 2026, the new encoder is designed to provide true absolute position feedback in compact systems exposed to dust, moisture, liquids and contamination.
IND-ROT-G Adds IP67 Protection to FLUX Encoder Series
The IND-ROT-G builds on FLUX’s IND-ROT series of compact, lightweight absolute encoders based on inductive technology. Its guarded design provides IP67 ingress protection, allowing the encoder to be used in systems exposed to moisture, liquids and heavy contamination without requiring a larger encoder format.
The encoder is available in four sizes ranging from Ø55 mm to Ø96 mm O.D. and provides true absolute position feedback with resolution of up to 21 bits.
The IND-ROT-G is designed to operate under high shock, vibration and demanding temperature conditions. Its stators weigh from 22 g, providing environmental protection while keeping the additional system weight low.

According to FLUX, the IND-ROT-G is intended for applications where installation space and weight are limited while operating conditions can be demanding.
