Flipkart Plus members can earn a Netflix Mobile Plan through qualifying monthly purchases across Flipkart, Grocery and Minutes starting August 1, 2026.
Flipkart and Netflix have announced a partnership that allows Flipkart Plus members to earn a Netflix Mobile Plan each month by completing qualifying purchases across Flipkart's shopping platforms. The programme, launching on August 1, 2026, introduces a loyalty benefit that links everyday shopping with access to digital entertainment.
The initiative enables eligible members to unlock a 30-day Netflix Mobile Plan without purchasing a separate subscription or bundled recharge.
How the Programme Works
To qualify for the monthly benefit, Flipkart Plus members must:
- Complete four qualifying orders worth ₹299 or more within a calendar month.
- Place eligible orders across Flipkart, Flipkart Grocery, or Flipkart Minutes.
- Unlock a Netflix Mobile Plan valid for 30 days after completing the fourth qualifying order.
- Activate the benefit directly through the Flipkart app, without any additional payment or separate login.
The benefit expires after 30 days and can be earned again by meeting the same monthly shopping requirement.
Customers who are not already Flipkart Plus members automatically become eligible after completing 15 orders within 12 months at no additional cost.
Loyalty Programme Expands Beyond Shopping
According to the companies, the partnership integrates entertainment into Flipkart's loyalty ecosystem by rewarding regular shopping activity rather than additional subscription spending.
The programme covers purchases across categories including groceries, daily essentials, and quick commerce through Flipkart Minutes, offering customers access to Netflix's catalogue of Indian and international films and series.
Focus on Everyday Customer Engagement
The collaboration is designed to serve customers across metropolitan areas as well as Tier 2 and Tier 3 cities. It also reflects changing consumer preferences, particularly among younger shoppers seeking value-added experiences alongside everyday purchases.
Company Statements
Ravi Iyer, CFO and SVP, Strategic Partnerships, Flipkart, said the initiative builds on customers' existing shopping habits by turning regular monthly purchases into access to entertainment while strengthening the value proposition of the Flipkart Plus programme.
Laurent Uguen, Vice President APAC Partnerships – Business Development, Netflix, described the collaboration as Netflix's first e-commerce partnership in India, stating that it is designed around existing consumer shopping behaviour and aims to deliver a simple and rewarding experience for Flipkart Plus members.
