Flickd and Snitch Pilot AI-Powered Fashion Try-On Mirrors in Physical Stores

The beta deployment is testing customer engagement with AI-based outfit visualisation, with a wider rollout dependent on pilot results.

AI-powered fashion technology company Flickd has launched a pilot of its AI try-on mirrors in select Snitch stores, bringing digital fashion visualisation into physical retail environments. The initiative aims to assess customer response and understand how the technology can fit into the in-store shopping experience.

The collaboration allows shoppers to preview outfits through Flickd's AI-powered visualisation technology. According to the companies, the initial response has been encouraging, with customers showing interest in and actively using the mirrors to explore different looks.

Videos showcasing the collaboration are already available across both brands' social media channels, providing a view of how the technology is being introduced in stores.

Pilot to Evaluate Customer Engagement

The deployment is currently in the beta phase. Flickd and Snitch will use the pilot to assess customer engagement, evaluate the technology's performance and understand how the experience fits into the overall store journey.

Snitch operates approximately 125–140 stores across India. If the pilot delivers the desired results, the collaboration could gradually expand across its wider retail network. However, any expansion will depend on the outcomes of the ongoing testing.

Dheekshith Kumar, Co-Founder of Flickd, said:

"Fashion retail is not just about putting more products in front of customers. It is about helping them explore what they might actually want to wear. The early interest in the mirrors is encouraging because it shows that customers are willing to engage with a different way of discovering fashion. The pilot with Snitch gives us an opportunity to understand that behaviour in a live retail environment and build on what works,"

AI Try-On Adds a Digital Layer to Physical Retail

AI-powered try-on technology offers shoppers another way to interact with merchandise without relying entirely on product displays or conventional trial-room experiences.

For retailers, the technology also provides an opportunity to observe how customers explore styles and compare different options. The pilot will help determine how effectively the experience can support real-world shopping behaviour and whether it can be implemented at a wider scale.

Sheetal Singh, Co-Founder of Flickd, said:

"Introducing a new technology in a store is only the beginning. What matters is how customers respond to it, whether they find it useful and whether it adds value to their shopping experience. The pilot allows us to learn directly from shoppers and refine the experience around their needs. Working with a retail brand like Snitch gives us a valuable opportunity to test AI try-on in an active store environment,"

Wider Rollout Depends on Pilot Results

The Snitch collaboration is part of Flickd's efforts to introduce AI-powered try-on technology into physical fashion retail. The current pilot will provide a basis for evaluating future deployments.

While a broader rollout across Snitch's store network remains a possibility, the companies have not confirmed an expansion plan. Further decisions will depend on customer response and the results of the beta phase.
