Flexo Summit Asia 2026 Concludes in Bengaluru, Bringing Together Leaders Across the Flexographic Printing Value Chain

Two-day summit hosts 340 industry participants, 60+ speakers and 18+ knowledge sessions focused on flexography, sustainability and automation
Organised around the theme "FLEXO NEXT – Thinking Beyond Print," the 2026 edition examined developments shaping the flexographic printing industry beyond traditional print discussions. Key topics included process excellence, automation, sustainability, standardisation, coatings, operational efficiency and workforce development.
During the summit, the Flexo Icon Award was presented to Vijay Mehta of Mehta Flex in recognition of his contribution, leadership and influence within the flexographic printing industry. Introduced as an ongoing initiative of Flexo Summit Asia, the award will continue in future editions to recognise individuals who have contributed to the growth of flexography.
Day 1 highlights global perspectives on flexography
One of the key sessions on the opening day was "Global Flexo Pulse: Insights from FTA Leaders Across Regions," which brought together representatives from the flexographic community across Europe, Indonesia, South Asia and the Middle East & Africa.
The session was moderated by Hersh Lulla, Marketing Manager, Asia Pacific Region, Miraclon, and featured:
- Sante Conselvan, President, FTA Global Alliance and FTA Europe
- Mustafa Kemal Bağdatlı, FTA Europe
- Eric Oh, FTA Indonesia
- Suhas Kulkarni, FTA Global Alliance, South Asia
- Benjamin Daniel, FTA Global Alliance, MEA
The panel examined the development of flexography across different regions, discussing market opportunities, industry challenges and the importance of knowledge sharing and collaboration among global flexographic communities.
According to the organisers, the session aligned with the summit's objective of connecting the Indian flexographic industry with international perspectives and industry developments.
Day 2 focuses on process excellence
The second day featured the 6 Sigma of Flexo Masterclass, designed as an application-focused technical learning programme.
The masterclass explored the variables affecting quality, consistency, productivity and efficiency in flexographic printing. Rather than treating production stages independently, the session examined flexography as an integrated process in which process control, measurement, standardisation and informed decision-making contribute to consistent printing outcomes.
The programme also demonstrated how greater process discipline can help reduce production variation and improve press performance while bringing together technology, process knowledge and human expertise.
Brand owners discuss sustainability
Flexo Summit Asia 2026 also included a dedicated brand owners-only sustainability session, providing a closed-door forum for discussions on packaging requirements and sustainability priorities.
Participants exchanged views on changing sustainability expectations and the practical considerations involved in translating sustainability commitments into packaging solutions that are scalable, functional and commercially viable.
The discussion also highlighted collaboration across the packaging value chain, including brand owners, converters, printers, material suppliers and technology providers, with topics covering material selection, print performance, recyclability and functionality.
Industry collaboration across the value chain
The summit enabled interaction among printers, converters, equipment manufacturers, prepress specialists, ink and coating experts, material suppliers, technology providers, brand owners and industry leaders.
Presentations, panel discussions, masterclasses and networking sessions over two days created opportunities for participants to exchange experiences, discuss industry challenges and explore practical solutions.
Organiser's statement
Anil Arora, Director, ReEnvision Events Pvt. Ltd., said:
"Flexography is evolving rapidly, and no single part of the value chain can drive that transformation alone. Flexo Summit Asia was created to bring the entire ecosystem into one room, encourage open conversations and enable the industry to learn from each other. What stood out in Bengaluru was the willingness to share knowledge, discuss challenges honestly and collaborate on what comes next. That is exactly the kind of industry dialogue we want this platform to continue building."
Focus shifts to FLEXO 5.0
At the conclusion of the 2026 edition, Flexo Summit Asia announced the theme for its next edition: "FLEXO 5.0 – Human Expertise, AI Intelligence."
The upcoming edition will examine the relationship between human expertise and technologies such as artificial intelligence, automation, data and connected production systems within the printing and packaging industry.
According to the organisers, FLEXO 5.0 will explore how these technologies can complement the knowledge, judgement and experience of professionals across the flexographic value chain.
