Filo66 Opening Ceremony to Focus on Building a Stronger Textile and Fashion Supply Chain
"Weaving the Future" event in Milan will bring together industry leaders to discuss collaboration, competitiveness and the future of the textile value chain.
The 66th edition of Filo will officially open on Tuesday, September 15, 2026, with an inaugural ceremony titled "Weaving the Future: The Balance for a Stronger, More Competitive Textile and Fashion Supply Chain." The event will begin at 10:30 a.m. in the Filo Networking Area – Hall 24, Fiera Milano Rho.
The opening session will feature representatives from across Italy's textile and fashion industry, focusing on supply chain collaboration and the role of dialogue among stakeholders in strengthening the sector's competitiveness.
Opening Ceremony to Feature Industry Representatives
The programme will begin with introductory remarks from:
- Paolo Monfermoso, Responsible of Filo
- Pier Francesco Corcione, General Manager of the Unione Industriale Biellese
- Fulvia Bacchi, CEO of Lineapelle
- Matteo Masini, Head of the Consumer Goods Office of ITA - Agency for the Promotion Abroad and Internationalization of Italian Companies
The opening remarks will be followed by a round-table discussion featuring:
- Michele Pozzi, Sales Director of Linificio e Canapificio Nazionale
- Cesare Cigolini, Manager of Achille Pinto
- Stefano Aglietta, Italfil spa, President of the Spinning Section of Unione Industriale Biellese

The discussion will be moderated by Laura Ricardi, Head of the Unione Industriale Biellese's Press Office.
Supply Chain Collaboration at the Centre of Discussions
The opening ceremony will focus on the textile-fashion supply chain and the importance of closer, more in-depth and responsible dialogue among participants across the production chain.
According to the event organisers, strengthening cooperation across the supply chain represents one of the key challenges facing the future of the textile and fashion industry. The theme has therefore been placed at the centre of discussions during the opening event of the 66th edition of Filo.
