Filo65 Unveils Nexus: New Creative Vision for Textile Development

Filo releases Nexus, the textile inspiration video shaping its 65th edition.
The new concept, created by designer Rossano Bisio, sets the tone for a comprehensive journey from yarn innovation to finished fabrics ahead of Filo’s February 2026 showcase.
Filo has officially unveiled its creative direction for the 65th edition with the release of Nexus, the new video presenting textile inspirations crafted by Fabric Designer Rossano Bisio. Now available online, Nexus marks the first chapter of a deeper stylistic journey aimed at guiding the industry through the full textile lifecycle — from yarn to fabric to finished product.
Introducing the launch, Paolo Monfermoso, Manager of Filo, emphasised the significance of this yearly milestone for the global textile community.
He noted that “Filo is an international point of reference for yarns and textile materials; that’s why the online release of our product development proposals has always been eagerly awaited by the professionals working in the industry.”
Monfermoso explained that Filo has progressively expanded the scope and utility of its proposals:
“Indeed, Nexus is the first step in a stylistic journey aiming at accompanying operators through the various stages of the supply chain. Therefore, we want to support textile manufacturers first in imagining and then in suggesting concrete examples of materials’ development, starting with yarns, moving to fabrics and finishing, and finally to the finished garment.”
This creative pathway will materialise in Made in Filo, the collection of fabrics produced by Filo and exhibited during the 65th edition on 11–12 February 2026 at Fiera Milano Rho.
Monfermoso added that Filo’s focus on collaboration remains central to its mission:
“Ultimately, Filo is increasingly at the core of the international textile scene since it has chosen to promote ongoing dialogue, exchange of ideas, research and innovation among the various players in the supply chain: this represents a ‘mission’ that will find its expression in Fiera Milano in February the 11th and the 12th, 2026. In the meantime, enjoy Nexus!”
Fabric Designer Rossano Bisio, who developed the stylistic content of Nexus, explained the creative foundations behind the concept:
“The aim of Nexus comes immediately out from the title we chose for Filo65 product development proposals: it reflects the interweaving of yarns which represents the substratum of each fabric, but at the same time is related to the idea of connection developing within textile supply chain.”
Bisio outlined the three thematic pillars shaping the Filo65 proposals:
• Volumes
Centered on wool yarns, this theme explores compact, opaque, textured surfaces built for longevity and comfort. These materials lend themselves naturally to both apparel and interior applications.
• Geometries
A study in movement and lightness, this theme introduces layered structures and lively yarns that respond to contemporary expectations in weight, design, and colour interplay.
• Alchemies
The innovation-driven theme, where hybrid fibres, cutting-edge technologies, and unconventional finishing techniques push textile functionality into new territory.
The Nexus video is now accessible on filo.it, offering professionals an early look at the creative and technical directions shaping Filo’s upcoming edition — a preview of the fabric collection that will take centre stage in Milan.
