FICCI to Organise Technical Meet on Sustainable Wastewater Treatment and Zero Liquid Discharge in Bhubaneswar
The two-day programme on November 26–27, 2026, will cover wastewater treatment design, membrane technologies, ZLD operations, regulatory frameworks and digital solutions for industrial water management.
The Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FICCI) will organise a technical meet on “Design, Operational Strategies for Sustainable Wastewater Treatment and Zero Liquid Discharge (ZLD) Systems” on November 26–27, 2026, at Empires Hotel, Shaheed Nagar, Bhubaneswar, Odisha.
The programme will bring together technical experts, the Odisha State Pollution Control Board (OSPCB), technology providers, FICCI and selected industries to discuss wastewater treatment systems, operational challenges and technologies for sustainable industrial water management.
Key Technical Topics
The technical meet will address several aspects of wastewater treatment and Zero Liquid Discharge systems, including:
- Latest regulatory frameworks for wastewater management
- Importance of primary and secondary treatment systems
- Design and selection criteria for reverse osmosis (RO), effluent treatment plants (ETPs) and ZLD systems
- Role of membrane technologies in ZLD operations
- Common operational challenges and troubleshooting
- Latest wastewater treatment and ZLD technologies, including capital expenditure (CAPEX) and operating expenditure (OPEX)

Technical presentations will be delivered by experts from OSPCB, technology providers, FICCI and selected industries.

The programme is intended for professionals and teams working in Environment, Health and Safety (EHS), sustainability, corporate design and projects, research and development, RO and ZLD operations, water treatment plants (WTPs), effluent treatment plants (ETPs) and related areas.

Participation Fees
The participation fee includes knowledge papers and technical material, a conference kit bag, handouts, lunch on both days, tea or coffee twice daily, and a certificate of successful participation.
