Fibre Extrusion Technology Limited (FET) will participate in Techtextil 2026, scheduled to take place in Frankfurt from April 21–24. The event brings together international companies focused on technological solutions for technical textiles and related applications.

In addition to melt spinning, FET provides wet spinning systems for pilot and small-scale production where melt spinning is not applicable. The company has also introduced the FET-500 Series of gel spinning systems, designed for research and development of ultra-high-molecular-weight polyethylene (UHMWPE) fibres. These systems are intended to reduce cost, space requirements and environmental impact in fibre development processes.

As part of the FET-500 series introduction, Senior Scientist Dr Kristoffer Kortsen will speak at the Techtextil Forum in Hall 9.1 Booth D50 on Wednesday 22 April at 16:50. The session will present details of a process using super-critical fluids.

FET has processed more than 130 polymer types to date, covering multifilament, monofilament and nonwoven formats. The company works with specialist organisations globally in areas related to fibre development and manufacturing processes.

The company’s Fibre Development Centre provides facilities for clients to test products using available fibre extrusion systems. The centre includes equipment representing the range of technologies offered by FET and supports ongoing product development activities.

Managing Director Richard Slack and the company’s technical team will be present at the exhibition. Slack commented. “We have now exhibited at over 10 Techtextil exhibitions around the world and we again look forward to meeting customers face-to-face to discuss their fibre technology requirements.”

FET will be located in Hall 12.0 Stand 078.
