Fibre Extrusion Technology Ltd caps off 2025 with the launch of its FET-500 Series at COMPAMED, strengthening its position in technical textiles and medical innovation.

After a strong showing at ITMA ASIA, FET concludes 2025 with a major showcase at COMPAMED Germany, unveiling its FET-500 gel spinning system to advance UHMWPE fibre R&D.

Fibre Extrusion Technology Ltd (FET), based in Leeds, UK, is gearing up for its final exhibition of the year following a highly successful showing at ITMA ASIA + CITME Singapore 2025. The event, which focuses on textile and garment innovations across South and Southeast Asia and the Middle East, proved to be another major success for the company.

FET’s booth attracted strong interest from multiple countries surrounding China, highlighting the region’s rapid growth in technical textile development. Over the past two decades, FET has built solid partnerships with manufacturers across Southeast Asia, supplying a diverse range of extrusion systems for advanced textile applications. The company also continues to expand its network of technical agents across Asia, strengthening its customer service and support reach.

As a global specialist in designing, developing, and manufacturing extrusion equipment for high-performance textile materials, FET’s active participation in international exhibitions underscores its expanding influence in the global textile and materials technology arena.

The company will close its 2025 exhibition calendar at COMPAMED 2025, scheduled for November 17–20 in Düsseldorf, Germany. Recognized as one of the world’s most important trade fairs for medical technology suppliers, COMPAMED provides a platform for FET to demonstrate its latest innovations. Visitors can find FET at Hall 08B, Stand 8BJ09.

“Participating in these major global exhibitions gives FET the opportunity to engage with customers, showcase our innovations, and reinforce our growing presence in technical textiles and medical device manufacturing,” said Richard Slack, Managing Director, FET Ltd.

At COMPAMED, FET will unveil the FET-500 Series Gel Spinning System, a next-generation solution designed to transform the research and development of UHMWPE fibres. The system promises major advances in cost efficiency, space optimization, and environmental performance — setting a new benchmark for fibre innovation.

In conjunction with the product launch, Dr. Kristoffer Kortsen, Senior Material & Process Scientist at FET, will deliver a technical presentation introducing the FET-500 Series and its novel process innovations. The talk, scheduled for 4:30 PM on November 17, will highlight the system’s user-friendly design, research flexibility, and sustainable engineering approach.

Before joining FET, Dr. Kortsen built extensive expertise in polymer synthesis, recycling, and processing across academic and industrial research roles, contributing significantly to the development of this breakthrough technology.
