FESPA has expanded its international association network with the inclusion of ASOINGRAF (Asociación de la Industria Gráfica Costarricense) as a new Association Member. The decision was formally approved during the 2025 FESPA General Assembly, attended by Marco Vinicio Vargas Chevez, President of ASOINGRAF, marking a step toward broader representation of the Central American printing and graphic arts sector.

FESPA Welcomes Costa Rica’s ASOINGRAF as New Association Member

Established in 1987, ASOINGRAF serves as Costa Rica’s national association for companies and professionals operating within the graphic arts and printing industry. The organisation is responsible for Expográfica, the country’s principal trade exhibition for the sector, and also delivers training programmes, industry seminars, and awards initiatives. Many of these activities focus on supporting the adoption of sustainable practices across print and graphics businesses.

Through its Association Membership, ASOINGRAF becomes part of FESPA’s global network of national printing and graphics associations, enabling closer collaboration and knowledge exchange across regions. The partnership aims to strengthen access to technical expertise and market intelligence within Costa Rica and the wider Central American region. It also supports alignment with internationally recognised standards related to production processes, colour management, operational efficiency, and environmental performance.

Commenting on the development, Daniel Sunderland, President of FESPA and Vice President of Canagraf in Mexico, noted that the addition of ASOINGRAF enhances FESPA’s presence in Central America. He highlighted the potential for collaboration through local events and initiatives, as well as the opportunity to extend shared learning and innovation across the global FESPA community.

As a member association, ASOINGRAF will participate in FESPA-led events, specialist working groups, and sustainability-focused projects. Its contributions will represent the perspectives and operational realities of print businesses in Costa Rica and Central America, adding regional insight to FESPA’s international activities.
