FESPA Pays Tribute to Former President and Longtime Board Member Anders Nilsson

Former FESPA President and Board Member remembered for over three decades of service to the global print industry
FESPA has announced the passing of Anders Nilsson, former FESPA President and longstanding Board Member, acknowledging his contribution to the federation and the global speciality print sector.
Nilsson served as President of FESPA from 2007 to 2010, a period during which the organisation expanded its international presence and continued to develop its activities across emerging print markets.
During his presidency, FESPA broadened its Association network in Asia and other regions, supporting the federation's long-term international development. The organisation also continued its focus on evolving print technologies following the launch of FESPA Digital in 2006, adapting to the growing role of digital printing in wide-format production.
Nilsson was a FESPA Board Member for 21 years, serving from 2000 to 2021. After completing his term as President, he became Asia Ambassador, working with regional associations and partners to strengthen FESPA's presence across Asia.
His involvement with FESPA Sweden extended from 1994 to 2026. In 2023, he was named Honorary Chair of FESPA Sweden in recognition of his long-standing service to the print industry.
Outside his work with FESPA, Nilsson was the CEO and owner of Gamleby Screen AB, a Swedish large-format printing company. His industry experience and commercial knowledge contributed to his leadership roles within the federation.
FESPA noted that colleagues and members across its global network also remembered Nilsson for his personal relationships within the organisation and his engagement with the wider print community.
FESPA President, Daniel Sunderland, comments:
“Anders was a dear friend loved by everyone, who made a lasting contribution to FESPA in what was an exciting and transformative period for our organisation. His ability to connect with people across various regions helped to form the FESPA that we know today. Anders will be greatly missed by those who had the privilege of knowing him and working with him.”
