FESPA Foundation Calls for Support for 2025 Education Projects

The FESPA Foundation has extended heartfelt thanks to its growing list of official Partners, recognizing their valuable contributions toward advancing its global mission. With new initiatives on the horizon, the Foundation is also encouraging the global print community, especially visitors to FESPA Global Print Expo 2025 (6–9 May, Messe Berlin, Germany), to support the cause through monetary and in-kind donations.

These collaborations have enabled the Foundation to sustain its mission of promoting Print For Good by producing and distributing printed educational resources to underserved schools globally, improving learning outcomes for disadvantaged students.
One major success highlighted by the Foundation is its first educational impact project at Evane Intermediate School in KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa, where 90 students benefited from classroom and sanitation renovations, alongside donations of critical learning materials. The project was spearheaded locally by Steve Thobela ka Mdlalose, FESPA Foundation associate.
Upcoming Projects at FESPA 2025
Building on this success, the Foundation will collect printed applications and donated supplies during FESPA 2025. These materials will support projects at four schools in southern Africa:
- Malekapane School
- Pitseng Ya Thuto School
- Madisei Primary School
- Batau Primary School
Exhibitor partners at the event will produce a range of printed materials such as educational posters, maps, student apparel, and more. The Foundation is also asking attendees to contribute items like reading glasses, stationery, and school supplies. Donations will be shipped to South Africa free-of-charge by DSV, FESPA’s global logistics partner. At these schools, the Foundation will repeat its successful model of renovation and resource distribution.
Looking ahead, the Foundation also plans to expand regionally, directing printed resources from upcoming FESPA events in Mexico and Brazil to support communities in need in those countries, and funding outreach efforts in Asia.
Visit the Foundation’s Stand in Berlin
At FESPA 2025, visitors can stop by the FESPA Foundation stand located at the South Entrance of Messe Berlin, to watch a moving video of the Evane School project and learn more about the schools being supported in the next phase. The stand will also serve as a donation point to raise funds for the next set of initiatives.
Neil Felton, CEO of FESPA and founder of the FESPA Foundation, said:
“We are incredibly grateful to our Partners for their commitment to our mission. Their support not only fuels life-changing, education-focused projects around the world, it also reflects the generosity and spirit of collaboration that defines our global print community.”
He added:
“As we kickstart FESPA Global Print Expo 2025 in Berlin, we invite others to support us by donating and also by using the hashtag #BringItToBerlin. Together, we can continue to demonstrate Print For Good.”
