The Pyramids Group, one of the top organizers of trade shows in the Middle East and Africa, was founded in Cairo in 1993. Since 1993, Pyramids Group has successfully organized trade shows in more than 22 industries with the help of an accomplished staff and a keen understanding of the industry. In 2003, Pyramids Group opened an office in Istanbul and began running and planning shows in 20 different nations with 70 sales partners. After joining UFI in 2012, Pyramids Group employs more than 300 people and operates offices in seven countries, including Istanbul, Cairo, Casablanca, Baghdad, Erbil, Basra, and Alger. In 2010, Pyramids Group constructed their own carnival in Iraq. The 30.000-square-foot Basra International Fairground features state-of-the-art facilities that meet international standards. The Pyramids Group organizes about 40 trade shows a year, bringing together over 20,000 exhibitors from the building, construction, energy, fashion textile, home textile, furniture, decoration, leather, shoes, automotive, health, medical, food, agriculture, technology, plastics, packaging, paper, stone, and machinery sectors and over a million attendees.
