ESG & decarbonisation in play: Inside a brand-supplier-implementation partnership

Decarbonising the textile supply chain is a priority across the industry, but as the Apparel Impact Institute (Aii) notes, it's too often framed as a cost and compliance burden. In practice, many of the most effective measures cut emissions while improving operational efficiency and reducing energy costs. The harder question is turning that opportunity into action: implementing changes on the factory floor, building the right partnerships, and finding approaches that scale.

This session brings together a brand, a manufacturer and an implementing partner, Target, Interloop and Aii, to examine what effective supplier engagement looks like in practice, from facility-level improvements to broader value chain strategy. Drawing on experience from the Clean by Design programme, the panel will explore what makes collaborative decarbonisation work, how successful approaches get replicated, and how to navigate practical constraints to turn climate commitments into measurable outcomes.
