Introduction:
The value of the global textile machinery market was USD 27.8 billion in 2022, and will increase to USD 42.2 billion by 2030, expanding at a compound yearly growth rate (CAGR) of approximately 7% between the years 2023 and 2030. Whereby in India the total domestic demand for textile machinery during 2021-22 was Rs.18290 crores (USD 2.44 Billion ) i.e. 8.78% of Global value. At the same time total capacity was Rs.12700 crores (USD 1.69 Billion ) in 2021-22 (69%). The bulk of the demand was met through imports, worth Rs.15115 crores (USD 2.06 Billion) in 2021-22. (i.e. 84.43% of the demand); whereby the critical items of parts and accessories like automatic yarn splicer, PLC and electronic controls, hi-tech temperature indicator, etc contributed to 9.92%, worth Rs. 1500 cr. (USD 0.20 Billion). However export of Indian TEI stood at Rs.5572 crores (USD 0.74 billion )(i.e. 2.66% of Global demand)in 2021-22.
Objective of the Conference
