eVent Fabrics Expands Partnership with HLINC Golf Across UK and Ireland

eVent stormST apparel now available at 45 links courses as technical performance gains traction in golfwear

eVent® Fabrics has expanded its partnership with HLINC Golf, an Ireland-founded golf apparel brand that combines traditional golf styling with technical outdoor materials. HLINC apparel featuring eVent’s plant-based stormST waterproof/breathable laminate is now available at 45 links courses and 10 non-links courses across Ireland and the U.K.

Founded in Ireland and launched in 2025, HLINC was developed around the idea that golf apparel can incorporate performance technologies commonly used in technical outdoor clothing while retaining a traditional golf aesthetic.

The brand draws inspiration from the unpredictable conditions associated with links golf in Ireland and Scotland, combining golfwear with materials designed for weather protection and outdoor performance.

“HLINC is doing something pretty different in golf,” said Chad Kelly, Vice President of eVent Fabrics. “They’re taking the performance expectations we’ve seen for years in outdoor apparel and bringing them to a sport where tradition still plays a huge role. That makes them a great partner for eVent, and we’re excited to see how quickly the brand is growing.”

eVent stormST Used Across HLINC Collection

HLINC apparel using eVent stormST is available at 45 links courses and 10 non-links courses, including Royal County Down, currently ranked the No. 1 golf course in the world.

The partnership was also showcased during the recent Walker Cup at Lahinch Golf Club, where all the caddies wore HLINC apparel. Actor and avid golfer Bill Murray has also been spotted wearing the brand.

At the centre of the partnership is eVent stormST, a plant-derived waterproof/breathable laminate developed to provide waterproof protection, breathability, stretch and quiet performance for golf apparel.

“Golfers don’t stop playing because the weather changes,” said Ian Forrester, Founder of HLINC Golf. “Especially in Ireland and Scotland, you need apparel that can handle whatever the day throws at you. We wanted to build golfwear that performs like technical outdoor gear, but still feels right on the course. eVent is proving to be a perfect partner.”

The HLINC collection using eVent stormST includes waterproof jackets, trousers, gilets, bucket hats and caps. The products are designed for golfers seeking protection from weather conditions without the noise, restriction or bulk often associated with traditional waterproof golf apparel.

HLINC’s growing presence across links courses reflects the environments that influenced the brand's development. Instead of starting with a conventional golf apparel range and subsequently adding technical features, HLINC developed its products around the specific requirements of links golf.
