eVent® Fabrics, a global leader in breathable, waterproof, and windproof laminate technologies, has announced its first-ever partnership with Italian cycling apparel brand Alé Cycling to bring its high-performance, PFAS-free stormburstLT laminate to the cycling market.

Launched in early 2025, stormburstLT is eVent’s latest innovation designed for fast, light, and high-output activities. While several brands have already integrated the laminate into their product lines, this partnership marks the first time cyclists will have access to garments built with this cutting-edge technology.

“Our stormburstLT laminate is designed for high-intensity activities, making it a natural fit for cycling,” said Chad Kelly, President of eVent Fabrics. “This partnership with Alé will give cyclists apparel that combines maximum breathability, lightweight comfort, and superior weather protection to keep them performing at their best even in unpredictable conditions.”

The PFAS-free stormburstLT laminate is engineered to be ultra-lightweight, highly breathable, and slightly stretchable, offering exceptional comfort while effectively repelling light rain and snow. Its moisture management technology allows body heat and perspiration to escape, ensuring comfort even during sudden weather changes.

eVent collaborates with ITTTAI, a premium Italian apparel manufacturer specializing in technical fabrics and advanced performance gear, to deliver these innovations to European clients. Together, they developed Alé’s FAN and TRACCIA jackets, offering next-level weather protection for cyclists.

  • FAN Jacket (€215) – Available for both men and women, designed for winter riding with a temperature range of -3 to 6℃. This jacket features a 3-layer laminate combined with a breathable, quick-dry fleece liner with a 3D hexagonal structure, plus DWR treatment for water repellency.
  • TRACCIA Jacket (€195) – A lighter, slimmer version ideal for spring and fall, with body mapping technology for better heat dissipation in temperatures between 0 and 12℃.

Both jackets feature aerodynamic cuffs, secure rear hems, and reflective branding for visibility. Their sleek design and unique color palette combine fashion with function, meeting the needs of performance-driven cyclists.
